On the 16th of February, my classmates and I took part in a project that our ETLV teachers organised for us. This project consisted in us being candidates and recruiters in a Job Fair.

We were given rules before and we had to be dressed in business attire. During the actual job fair we had three minutes to ask questions and to answer questions, and thirty seconds to change seat. The room was really noisy but I think the only room that was organised was the STMG’s one.

I felt really comfortable asking questions, I had no problems. My issue was mostly answering questions, mostly because I did not want to give short and undeveloped answers.

The event was well organised but the students did not take the time to comprehend everything properly. I think instructions should be clearer next time.

This project was brilliant because I really felt like it was teaching me something, it gave me maturity and a better sense of responsibility.

On Wednesday February 16th, me and my classmates took part in job interviews that lasted four hours.

I was first placed as a recruiter and I had to ask questions to the candidates. Afterward, I switched for candidate, each role lasted two hours. It was graded by all the English teachers. Every student had to prepare a job sheet, a cover letter and a CV to present to the recruiters.

This event was a great idea and such an experience for me. I think it could have been better if every student was on time.

On Wednesday, February 16th my classmates and I took part in our First Annual Job Fair.

With all the first year of Technology stream classes we had to interview each other as recruiters and candidates, for approximately four hours. For the first two hours one group was candidate and recruiter, and for the other two hours we switched position which means those who were candidates became recruiters and those who were recruiters candidates.

We were placed in branches depending on the type of job we were looking for. We were interviewed by our recruiters for three minutes and after these three minutes the candidates had thirty seconds to look for a new recruiter.

To conclude, it was a good experience, it helped us to learn how to talk at our job interviews, in the future.

Monday 7 MARCH 2022

During the second term, all of the 11th grade who are in the Technology stream prepared a Job Dating event.

To start we typed our job sheet, a cover letter and a resume. The last Wednesday before vacation we had our Job Fair, it lasted four hours.

The purpose was to learn about our future job and other positions. Thus, it allowed us to be prepared for job interviews later.

It was a good experience and everyone was interested in the event.

I learnt a lot on my future job and other positions. I want to say a big “Thank you” to all the teachers who made this event a good moment.

On the 16th of February 2022, our teachers organised a project in which my classmates and I took part. The project was a Job Fair based on the model of Job Dating.

At first, the candidates were asked questions during three minutes by the recruiters, then they had thirty seconds to move to the next recruiter, and repeat the process. We had to be a candidate for two hours, then switch to a recruiter position, for another two hours. We were asked to wear a formal attire, just as if we were really in a job interview.

To sum up everything that has been stated so far, I find that it could have been better, by that I mean, the students could have said more and the whole, process went too fast.
